The Yellowknife Dance Collective is excited to share an upcoming dance workshop opportunity with the Marie Chouinard Company! Dance Workshop February 5th, 6:00 – 8:00 PM @ NACC stage.
This workshop is for all levels and will include a Q&A during the last hour.
Join YDC for an invigorating workshop led by Tony Chong, dancer, choreographer, rehearsal director for the Marie Chouinard Company! Explore the world of contemporary dance through the unique vision of one of Montreal’s most innovative companies.
This workshop offers a unique opportunity to experience the raw energy and creative exploration that defines the work of Marie Chouinard and her dancers. Tony Chong will guide you through a kinetic warm-up, followed by a movement class inspired by animistic imagery, where you’ll explore the natural intelligence of the body and tap into your creative instincts. Drawing from both Marie Chouinard’s distinctive approach and his own, Tony will lead you in creative improvisation and movement choreography, encouraging a deep, intuitive engagement with your physicality.
YDC Members: $30 or 2 punch passes. Non-members: $40
