2025 has arrived, and the City of Yellowknife once again held an annual fireworks display to welcome the new year.

The fireworks were once again launched over Frame Lake, with hundreds of locals gathered at the Somba K’e Civic Plaza outside of Yellowknife City Hall.

While the show only lasted for around fifteen minutes, the gathered crowd was still dazzled by the colourful lights, deep thumps, and rising screeches of the fireworks.

Residents are asked to stay away from the fireworks launch area until noon on New Years Day. This will allow city crews enough time to conduct a safety inspection of the area in the daylight.
