RCMP officers in Hay River are currently investigating a local disturbance that resulted in a structure fire on Friday morning.
On August 9th, at 7:18 am, Hay River officers were called to a disturbance at a residence on Woodland Drive, and in an area locally known as Rowe’s trailer court. Once police arrived, they discovered that there was now a fire at the location.
It was determined that a fight between individuals occurred just before the fire. One person has been taken to the hospital for minor injuries, and the residence was completely destroyed.
The Hay River RCMP detachment continues to investigate the disturbance and the fire with assistance and support from the “G” Division Forensic Identification Section and the Office of the Fire Marshal.
