Youth Indoor Kayak Lessons

Attention Hay River Paddlers!
The SKPC will be hosting two indoor kayak pool sessions in Hay River on March 23 and 24 from 4-6 pm at the Hay River swimming pool. Youth (anyone under the age of 30 and over the age of 10) are invited to register and attend as the NWT Recreation and Parks Association (NWTRPA) has generously provided funding to the SKPC to hold dedicated indoor kayak pool sessions for youth.
These sessions will be from 4-6 pm and are COMPLETELY FREE. Youth can expect to learn entry level skills, including kayak entry and exit on land, wet exits (without kayak skirts), and more.
There are currently 10 spots available for each session, so space is very limited. Register by sending us an email at [email protected].
Youth who attend these sessions will receive the following thanks to the NWTRPA’s funding:

Commemorative participation certificate
Free 1-year membership with the SKPC
