Members of the 20th Legislative Assembly of the NWT have just elected Shane Thompson, MLA for the Nahendeh, as Speaker of the 20th Legislative Assembly. The Territorial Leadership Committee conducted its selection process in the Legislative Chamber, formal motions to approve the choices will be presented when the 20th Legislative Assembly begins on Friday, December 8 at 10:00 a.m.
Mr. Thompson will occupy the Speaker’s chair at the official opening of the first session of the 20th Legislative Assembly of the Northwest Territories.
