The Prince of Wales Northern Heritage Centre is currently accepting applications from local artists to have their works displayed in their galleries.
The work is set to be displayed in the Mezzanine Gallery, which dedicates a space to artists, craftspeople, curators, and groups to showcase artwork to the public. The PWNHC hosts two six-month temporary exhibits a year that feature art representing the cultures and history of the NWT.
The selections for the gallery will be decided by the Heritage Centre’s Art Selection Committee, which is made up of PWNHC staff and community members.
The PWNHC will pay artists a standard exhibition fee, as well as cover any shipping expenses that may be incurred. In order to be eligible to apply, artists and craftspeople must be from the NWT, their work must have been previously exhibited elsewhere, and 50% of the shows pieces must be completed before applying.
Application forms can be found by clicking here. The deadline to apply is on January 15th.
