The GNWT has issued a warning regarding the status of Highway 1 closures throughout the early hours of the morning on August 21.
Early in the evening on August 20th, the GNWT announced Highway 1 has been closed between Enterprise and Kakisa from kilometre marker 87 to 168.
As of 11:37pm later that night, the GNWT clarified the highway is expected to open and close frequently between km 72 to 168.
Residents travelling through the area are advised to remain aware that conditions can change quickly with little warning and to listen to local officials.
