After the wildfire near Hay River tore through Enterprise in the past week, work putting out hotspots in the community has begun.
According to the Town of Hay River, work to protect the remaining structures began yesterday and continued overnight.
The Town of Hay River says the Northwestel Enterprise central office is up and running and where the fibre line was damaged has been identified in four locations. Crews have been deployed but no repair time has been established.
Additionally, the south end of the fire from Alexandria Falls to the border remains active.
NWT Fire adds that warm, dry conditions are expected and will increase fire activity today.
