The NWT Coroner Service has identified a drowning victim in Yellowknife as Adrian Halushka.
On the morning of July 19, 2023, Mr. Halushka was seen swimming alone to an island in Frame Lake. The Coroner’s Office says when witnesses saw Halushka in trouble, EMS was called to the scene.
The Yellowknife RCMP tells MyTrueNorthNow they received a report of a drowning death that afternoon; however, the incident was deemed non-criminal in nature, therefore no further investigation was conducted.
The Coroner’s Office says Halushka’s family has been notified.
