Today, Joint Task Force North will conduct the Prospector Challenge 2025 on between 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
Participating members of the Canadian Armed Forces, RCMP and Canadian Coast Guard will be carrying out a variety of fitness challenges around Frame Lake Trail, Niven Subdivision, Yellowknife Ski Club, and Old Town.
“The Prospector Challenge 2025 represents an outstanding opportunity for our military members and partner organizations to undertake a significant personal and team challenge while continuing to develop their mental and physical fitness,” said Joint Task Force North in an announcement today.
Representatives from Task Force North said that no roads will be closed, but there will be minor traffic delays near the Niven Subdivision entrance as teams portage across the road. They assured that proactive measures are being taken to minimize traffic disruptions to local residents. The Municipal Enforcement Division will be directing traffic.
