Three people charged in 2022 homicide, one 20 year-old yet to be located

N.W.T. RCMP Major Crimes Unit announced today that they recently laid charges in connection with the death of Feysal Farah, who was found deceased in an apartment building on Con Road in August 2022.

“G” Division Major Crimes Unit have arrested a 24-year-old from Edmonton and a 34-year-old from Fort Simpson who are now facing charges of manslaughter with a firearm pursuant to Section 236(a) of the Criminal Code. They remain in custody with June court appearance scheduled..

RCMP report that a 20-year-old male from Edmonton is also facing charges of manslaughter with a firearm pursuant to Section 236(a) of the Criminal Code but has not been located at this time and warrant for his arrest has been issued. 

This male cannot be identified in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act, as he was a youth at the time of the offence, said police.

“The Northwest Territories RCMP recognizes that homicide investigations can be lengthy and stressful for families of victims. We would like to thank the Farah family for their continued support and patience during this time,” said the RCMP in an announcement today

Anyone with information on this matter is asked to come forward
