Fort Providence RCMP seek public assistance locating man

On May 9  Fort Providence RCMP received information that 24-year-old, man a suspect with an active arrest warrant from several previous occurrences was at a residence in the community.

Police attended the residence but were denied entry by the homeowner. A warrant to enter the residence was subsequently obtained and executed. The man was located inside the house but escaped officers after a struggle. No officers were injured.

Logan Causa (see photo below) remains at large and is currently facing the following charges:

  •         Resisting arrest, contrary to section 129 of the Criminal Code
  •         Escaping lawful custody, contrary to section 145(1) of the Criminal Code
  •         Aggravated assault, contrary to section 268(2) of the Criminal Code
  •         Robbery, contrary to section 344 of the Criminal Code
  •         Assault with a weapon, contrary to section 267(a) of the Criminal Code
  •         Being unlawfully in a dwelling, contrary to section 349(1) of the Criminal Code
  •         Failure to comply with a release order, contrary to section 145(5)(a) of the Criminal Code (5 counts)

 

Logan Causa

It is not believed that Causa poses a risk to the general public.

The RCMP ask anyone with information on Causa’s whereabouts is asked not to approach him and to contact the Fort Providence RCMP at 867-699-1111 or Crime Stoppers at http://www.p3tips.com. In the event of an emergency call, the RCMP ask the public to call 911.
