The Fort Good Hope RCMP have arrested one woman after a stabbing on Friday night.
Just after 7:00pm on February 28th, local officers were informed of a person who had been stabbed several times. The victim was suffering from multiple serious injuries and was flown out of the community to receive medical care.
The suspect behind the attack was quickly identified and arrested without incident. A search warrant was acquired for what is believed to be the residence where the incident took place.
The 27-year-old woman has been charged with Aggravated Assault. She has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on June 2nd. The victim and the suspect are known to each other, and the police believe that there is no greater threat to the public.
