Yellowknife Snow Cleaning for Week of December 30th

The City of Yellowknife has shared the snow cleaning schedule for the week of December 30^th.

On Monday, December 30^th, Franklin Avenue will be cleaned from Gitzel Street to Matonabee Street. 53^rd Street will be cleaned from Franklin Avenue to 49^th Street, and 49^th Avenue will be cleaned from 53^rd Street to 47^th Street.

On Tuesday, December 31^st, Franklin Avenue will be cleaned from Matonabee Street to 53^rd Street. 53^rd Street will be cleaned from Franklin Avenue to 53^rd Avenue, and 51^st Street will be cleaned from 52^nd Avenue to Fraser Tower.

As it is a statutory holiday, there will be no snow removal taking place on Wednesday, January 1^st.

On Thursday, January 2^nd, Franklin Avenue will be cleaned from 53^rd Street to 47^th Street. 52^nd Street will be cleaned from 52^nd Avenue to Bison Apartments, and 54^th Street will be cleaned from 52^nd Avenue to House 5305.

Finally, on Friday, January 3^rd, Franklin Avenue will be cleaned from 43^rd Street to School Draw Avenue, and 49^th Avenue will be cleaned from 47^th Street to 43^rd Street.

Snow removal takes place overnight, so residents are reminded to make sure their vehicles are out of the way of workers. Any vehicles that are obstructing snow removal services will be towed away. Traffic delays are expected in the cleaning areas, so drivers are advised to plan an alternate route.

Additionally, curbside carts showed be moved out of the way before the cleanings take place.
