Northwestel and the Yellowknife Salvation Army have kicked off their annual Toy Drive donation event.
Until December 9th, Northern residents will be able to donate new and unwrapped toys to the Northwestel retail locations in Whitehorse and Yellowknife as a way to help support local charities. All of the toys collected by the Yellowknife location will be collected by the Salvation Army and given out to local families for the holidays.
The Northwestel Yellowknife Retail Location is at 5201 Franklin Avenue, Suite 100. They are open Monday to Friday, 9:30am to 5:00pm.
Northwestel is hoping to overflow their donation boxes with as many toys as possible, in order to benefit more children. Northwestel also announced that they are donating $5,000 to the Yellowknife Salvation Army Holiday Giving Campaign.
