A new development has arisen among the Norman Wells RCMP in their investigation into the assault case that occurred over the weekend.
On September 22nd, a violent altercation took place at a residence within the community that involved the use of weapons, and left two people in serious condition. 23-year-old Teagan Sutherland was arrested in relation to the matter.
Since the initial press release on this matter, a second suspect has received charges in relation to this case.
24-year-old Dallas McCauley has been charged with:
- Breaking and Entering with intent
- Aggravated Assault
- Disguised with Intent to Commit an Offence, and
- Two counts of Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose.
A warrant has been issued for McCauley’s arrest, and the suspect is believed to be hiding within Norman Wells. At the time of the September 22nd incident, McCauley was already a suspect with an arrest warrant for a prior offence, which included uttering threats and refusing to comply with a probation order.
