The City of Yellowknife is asking you for your thoughts to help plan the 2025 budget. From July 17, 2024, to August 16, 2024, residents can submit project proposal(s) using an online form on the City’s website.
The new form allows residents to submit a project proposal with a cost estimate. The proposal should consider the Council’s Strategic Directions and tax and service implications. Residents are asked to fill in all sections to the best of their ability.
The City Council will use the collected information to evaluate proposed projects and their alignment with the council’s goals. Residents are reminded that the City cannot run a deficit budget. Therefore, any additional costs from the proposals must be covered by raising taxes or reducing services/programs.
