Royal Canadian Air Force Celebrating 100th Anniversary in Somba K’e Park

The Royal Canadian Air Force will be celebrating their 100th Anniversary in Yellowknife.

The Anniversary will be held on Saturday, July 13th at the Somba K’e Park, where there will be dynamic presentations put on by the Canadian Armed Forces SkyHawks parachute team landing at the plaza. There will also be a non-aerobic display of the Canadian Forces Snowbirds, and other CAF displays and personnel for the public to interact with.

The event will be running from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Serving as ambassadors of the CAF, the CF Snowbirds demonstrate the high level of skill, professionalism, teamwork, discipline and dedication inherent in those who enlist in the CAF. They are comprised of various pilots, technicians, mobile support operators, resource management support clerks, an engineering officer, a logistics officer and a public affairs officer.
