Residents were encouraged to bring their kids down to the fire hall to get a chance to see the trucks up close and chat with the men and women who fight the city’s fires. Not only was there BBQ food being served by the department, as well as a dunk tank, but eager guests also had the chance to lineup for an opportunity to take a quick ride around the city inside a firetruck.

The event was held to give city residents a chance to see what firefighters do on the day to day, and what practices they use when combating fires, which included a live fire demonstration.
