The Government of the Northwest Territories is seeking individuals from the South Slave, Dehcho, North Slave, and Tłı̨chǫ regions to apply for a two-year term on the NWT Arts Council, starting on December 1, 2024.
Council members are responsible for providing recommendations to the Minister of Education, Culture and Employment regarding financial awards for art projects in visual, literary, media, and performing arts. As a council member, you will have the opportunity to influence the arts scene in the Northwest Territories and support the growth of local artists and cultural initiatives.
To be eligible:
– You must reside in the region you are applying for.
– You or your spouse must not currently be receiving NWT Arts Council funding.
– Experience and knowledge in the arts, culture, and/or heritage is an asset.
Previous board experience is not necessary.
