The GNWT is seeking the public’s feedback on new Meat Processing Safety Regulations.
The aim of the new regulations is to make meat products produced by NWT livestock more available. They set out new rules and requirements for the production, distribution, and sale of meat products, to make sure that they are handled and prepared as safely as possible.
The regulations being discussed were first established after a similar feedback session between December of 2021 to February of 2022.
Input for the current feedback session will be accepted until June 27th.
