The search for 54-year-old Ralph Beaulieu continues with the support of CASARA and Yellowknife Ground Search and Rescue, along with community volunteers. If anyone has seen Ralph Beaulieu or may have given him a ride on the highway south of Behchokǫ̀, they are urged to contact the Behchokǫ̀ RCMP.
Beaulieu was left at the cabin on April 23rd, planning to venture into the wilderness on April 29th and return by May 8th. On April 29th, a message was sent via In Reach to a friend, signaling the start of his journey. When the friend arrived for the scheduled pickup on May 8th, Beaulieu was absent from the cabin. The friend alerted the police past midnight on May 9th. Responding to the call, RCMP officers reached the cabin at approximately 2 a.m., to find Beaulieu missing.
On May 9th, a report emerged that Beaulieu had been spotted at the hospital in Yellowknife. Upon investigation, it was confirmed that Beaulieu had not been to the hospital, prompting authorities to redirect the search to the vicinity of his cabin.
