18th Annual Stuff the Bus Fills Food Bank Shelves

The Bus has been Stuffed!

This past weekend marked the 18th annual Stuff the Bus Food Drive. Over the course of nine hours on Saturday, customers at the Yellowknife Co-op had the opportunity to purchase a $25 bag of pre-packed food to donate to the local food banks. 

Approximately 600 bags were packaged for the event, and by 5:00 pm on Saturday, there were only about 50 bags remaining, the rest having been purchased and donated by Yellowknife’s generous public.

The bags were then loaded onto the waiting bus, and shipped off to the Yellowknife Food Bank, The YWCA Food Bank and the Salvation Army Food Bank.
