The City of Yellowknife is once again encouraging residents to do their holiday shopping at locally owned businesses.
Until November 26th, residents who spend at least $50 at a local business will be able to enter a special contest for several different prizes. All that is required is a picture of the reciept to be sent in to the city.
Only one entry will be submitted per receipt, and purchases must have taken place between October 30 and November 26 at 5:00 p.m. to be entered. Purchases must have been made at a Yellowknife business, but otherwise, there is no limit to how many times a person can enter.
The Grand Prize will be $2,500 for the winner to spend at a business of their choosing. Other prizes include similar shopping sprees in smaller amounts, as well as fifteen different gift card prizes to businesses chosen by the winners.
Winners will be drawn on November 30, 2023, and will be notified directly by the City of Yellowknife.
