The NT RCMP are advising residents that there may be interruptions in phone services due to the wildfires throughout the region.
If any resident needs the help of the RCMP and are experiencing interruptions, they are instructed to head to their local departments in person if they are able.
Officers are present at the detachment to provide assistance and will remain there until communications are restored.
The phone lines may ring but the calls are not being sent to or received at detachments or by dispatchers. If calls are not answered it means that the phone services are impacted. Due to the developing situation, it is not yet known which specific departments are experiencing these difficulties.
