On August 5th, the Tuktoyaktuk RCMP received a complaint of an impaired driver in the community.
Officers were told that a 27-year-old man from Tuktoyaktuk was intoxicated a driving around on an ATV. Officer located the man and determined that he was impaired by alcohol. The man was arrested and brought back to the Tuktoyaktuk detachment where he provided samples of is breath.
The man was found to have a blood alcohol content that was double the legal limit. The man has been charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and impaired driving over the legal limit.
