On August 7th, 2023, members of the Tulita RCMP responded to a reported assault at a residents at a residence in Tulita.
Upon arrival, officers determined a male had assaulted a female and damaged property.
According to police, the officers were told that a 26-year-old man assaulted the woman by pushing her to the ground and stomping on her head before he broke the rear window of a vehicle as he was leaving.
Officers located the man in the area and proceeded to take him into custody. The man now faces a charge of assault and two charges of mischief to property.
Police say the female was not seriously injured in the incident.
