There is currently an issue in Fort Providence that is affecting Telus Mobility customers. Mobile customers using Telus Mobility devices are receiving an out of service message when attempting to call the local RCMP line, 699-1111.
This issue appears to only affect Telus customers and is only occurring in Fort Providence. The RCMP have contacted Northwestel to look into this issue. In the meantime, people in Fort Providence are asked to use a land-line of other cellular provider’s phone to call the RCMP detachment. In the event of an emergency dial 911.
At this time there is no estimated period for this issue to be resolved. An update will be provided when service has been restored.
UPDATE: Telus Mobility has resolved this issue and Telus Mobility Customers should now be able to contact the Fort Providence RCMP line.
