Yellowknife-based artist Miranda Currie to perform at Somba K’e Ampitheater for Indigenous Peoples Day

The City of Yellowknife is hosting a celebration of Indigenous Day on June 19th and 20th featuring a performance from northern Indigenous artist Miranda Currie.

Currie is a land-based educator and author of four children’s books and she currently lives and works in Yellowknife.

Currie’s performance plans to dazzle the audience through a family-oriented show at the Amphitheater in Somba K’e Civic Plaza from 12:00pm to 1:00pm.

The City is not hosting an event on the official National Indigenous Peoples Day, but say they are encouraging Yellowknifers to attend one of the many other events to celebrate the holiday.
