Manning Veterinary Clinic in High Level has opened their doors to any Hay River pet/livestock owners to hold animals amid evacuations.
“We still have room for a couple more dogs if you are being evacuated.” Manning shared on social media.
“We can also take a small amount of livestock if necessary,” they added.
Several Hay River evacuees with pets have expressed concern regarding hotel and living accommodations south of the NWT and Manning says accommodating animals will open up more opportunities for displaced animal owners.
“We are not charging anyone who has been evacuated.” Director of Administration for the clinic ‘Thaney’ told MyTrueNorthNow.
