One person is dead and three others seriously injured after a fatal car crash near Fort Smith.
Around 11:30 on Sunday, Fort Smith RCMP responded to a single motor vehicle accident approximately 140 km from Fort Smith on Highway 5.
RCMP from Fort Smith and Hay River attended the scene and located four occupants of the vehicle.
Three adults, one male and two female, were seriously injured.
The driver, a male, was found dead.
All occupants of the vehicle were from the Northwest Territories.
RCMP are working with the Office of the Chief Coroner of the Northwest Territories as the investigation continues.
