The Department of Industry, Tourism and Investment has announced that day one of 2018 was record breaking for NWT Parks.
Bookings for day one are at a record high, with 710 reservations. That number equates to $101 900 for the industry, and is well over the 2017 mark of $87 000.
The combined two day bookings between April 11th and 12th raked in a total $174 750 – an over 7% increase from 2017.
The Department of ITI also shares that an overwhelming majority of the expected visitors are Canadian (89%), with over half of them from the NWT (59.4%).
