Yellowknife RCMP are investigating an alleged assault case that took place in uptown Yellowknife.
A male was allegedly assaulted with a knife in the area of the Stanton Plaza. He was transported to Stanton Territorial Hospital down the street as soon as possible.
The alleged attack took place around Midnight on May 31st. The victim could not provide a description of the suspect.
The RCMP would like to remind the public to practice basic personal safety and to be aware of their surroundings.  Wherever possible, do not travel alone.  Use high-traffic routes and locations where other people are likely to be around.
The investigation is ongoing.
