Missing Japanese tourist in Yellowknife: more photos released

Yellowknife, NWT – RCMP have released more photos of a Japanese tourist missing in Yellowknife.

Atsumi Yoshikubo, a 45-year-old woman, was reported missing on Monday when she failed to check out of the city’s Explorer Hotel.

Records show she had missed her return flight to Japan a day earlier.

Earlier statements regarding the missing woman gave her name as Atsumi Yoshikuko, but this was amended to Atsumi Yoshikubo by the RCMP on Tuesday afternoon.

The latest photos show her visiting Yellowknife’s Gallery of the Midnight Sun before her disappearance.

She is described as approximately 5ft 2in tall, with shoulder-length black hair and brown eyes, though the Gallery of the Midnight Sun’s images suggest her hair may be considerably longer.

As pictured on this page, Yoshikubo was last seen wearing a pink coat, a pink hat, black pants, and white shoes.
