The Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority has announced the launch of a new nursing pilot program to take place in the Yellowknife area. The pilot is part of the medical travel program.

Dene National Chief George Mackenzie has issued a statement in support of the Manitoba Chiefs and the Assembly of First Nations who are calling for reforms to the policing of Indigenous communities. Update: Hay River police issued a statement at about 11: 30 p.m. Monday that the police operation in the town has concluded. RCMP said more updates will be provided as soon as more information is available, but added there is no risk to the public at this time.
