GNWT Accepting Funding Proposals for Large Art Projects

The Government of the Northwest Territories is now accepting funding proposals for the Arts Operating Fund and Large Arts Project Fund for the 2024-2025 fiscal year.

The Arts Operating Fund provides financial and developmental support to arts organizations that operate year-round in the Northwest Territories. This funding supports costs for staffing, program administration, and expenses related to operating artist-run centres, public galleries, performing arts venues and art spaces.

The Large Arts Project Fund funds arts organizations for large-scale art projects and events such as festivals, exhibitions, residencies, and workshop series. This funding supports costs such as paying coordinators, northern artists fees, venue and equipment rentals, material and supplies costs, and others.
