Solar eclipse in the Northwest Territories

Today is the day for the solar eclipse in North America.

The full eclipse will stretch across the United States, from South Carolina to Oregon, in a curved line.

It’ll be the first full eclipse that America has seen in 99-years. While the bulk of the eclipse is taking place in the States, the NWT will still see a small part of it.

The forecast does call for the day to be mostly cloudy, with rain. Please be advised in the event of looking at the eclipse, do not do so without proper protection.

The ‘Maximum Eclipse’ is set for 11:58am MST.

The next eclipse in Canada will take place on 2024.
