Two vehicles stolen from Norman Wells airport

Police in Norman Wells say two vehicles were stolen from the local airport parking lot over the weekend.

According to RCMP, both vehicles were left unlocked by their owners – with the keys inside.

“One vehicle was recovered undamaged,” read an RCMP news release issued on Monday. “Unfortunately, the other vehicle was located at the scene of a crash and sustained extensive damages.

“Norman Wells RCMP would like to remind people that vehicles that will be parked and left unattended should be locked and secured.”

Police say their investigation into the thefts is continuing. Anyone with information can contact RCMP on (867) 587-1111.
