Man wanted for Edmonton murder arrested in Yellowknife

A man arrested in Yellowknife last week faces a murder charge in Edmonton today.

David Klassen, 26, was among 16 people arrested during a series of three residential drug busts in Yellowknife last Tuesday.

He was transferred to Alberta on Thursday, where he stands accused of second-degree murder, unlawful use of a firearm, assault with a weapon and disguise with intent.

Police in Edmonton accuse Klassen of shooting and killing Trevor Keith Deleeuw, 25, in a city parking lot on April 6.

Klassen was due in an Edmonton court on Tuesday morning.
