Yellowknife RCMP seeking public’s help to identify suspect

Yellowknife RCMP is requesting assistance from the public to help identify a suspect in an assault investigation.

On March 17 at approximately 11:00 am, Yellowknife RCMP responded to a report of an alleged assault in the area of Franklin Avenue, where a taxi driver was allegedly assaulted by a customer.

The suspect is described as a male, wearing a grey baseball cap and a black sweater with a bright coloured design on the back at the time of the incident (see photo below)

Yellowknife RCMP are hoping someone from the public might recognize the suspect and come forward with information. 

The RCMP ask anyone who has information that could lead to the identification of this suspect or with video surveillance or photos of the incident to contact the Yellowknife RCMP at 669-1111 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or www.nwtnu.crimestoppersweb.com. The RCMP ask the public to call 911 in the event of an emergency
