Legislature: Start nominating people for the Order of the NWT

Do you know someone who should be recognized with the Order of the Northwest Territories?

The NWT legislature is calling on residents to submit nominations for the honour before September 4.

The Order of the NWT, which was established in 2013, recognizes people who have served with the greatest distinction and excelled in any field of endeavor benefiting residents of the territory or elsewhere.

Up to ten people may receive the honour in 2015. In subsequent years, a maximum of three people may receive the award annually.

It is the highest honour awarded to NWT residents and is available to any Canadian citizen that is a current or former resident of the territory.

The deadline for the first intake of nominations is September 4. Nomination forms can be found here.
