Yellowknife, NWT – Effective immediately, the city of Yellowknife is implementing another mandatory open air burning ban.
The ban includes the use of approved fire pits within the city.
Yellowknife Fire Chief Darcy Hernblad says very dry conditions and no indication of rain forecasted throughout the weekend forced the ban.
Hernblad says it will remain in effect until further notice.
