Thinking of fall cleaning? The City of Yellowknife wants to help

The City of Yellowknife wants to lend a helping hand with your fall cleaning this year.

Between September 5 and September 7, the City will once again be holding a curbside giveaway.

The weekend event provides residents with the opportunity to give away used but unwanted items to others. All you have to do is place items at the curb and indicate that they’re free to take.

That will be followed by a large-item residential pickup between September 14 and September 18, when larger items will be collected by the City free of charge. Request forms can be found here.

Finally, between September 19 and September 25, the City will waive a $10 tipping fee for most items being dropped off at the city’s solid waste facility.
