GNWT Taking Applications for Small & Medium Art Grants

The GNWT is looking to help out with some art projects.

The territorial government is currently accepting funding proposals for Small and Medium Arts Projects for the 2024-25 fiscal year.

The Small Arts Project Grant will provide up to $5,000 to new and mid-career artists to help cover the costs of small scale art projects. This would include projects like traditional apparel and paintings, as well as supplies like beads, thread, and furs. Studio fees, illustration and design costs, and artistic development will also be covered by this Grant.

The Medium Arts Project Grant will do much of the same, providing between $5,000 to $10,000 for mid-career and established artists for medium scale art projects. Works covered under this grant would include the completion and exhibition of a collection of artistic projects such as fashion and paintings, as well as studio and venue fees.

The deadline to apply for these grants is on August 31st. Application forms can be found by clicking here.
