Driver sustains life-threatening injuries in Highway 2 crash

One person was medevaced to Edmonton with life-threatening injuries following a serious accident on Highway 2 Sunday night. 

The single-vehicle crash happened just north of Enterprise around 6:30pm. Police say the vehicle rolled over several times before ending up on its roof.

The driver and three passengers were all ejected from the vehicle but the driver suffered the worst fate as they were pinned underneath afterwards.

Police say the driver was transported to hospital in Hay River by helicopter but was later sent to Edmonton for further treatment. All other injuries sustained were non-life threatening.

RCMP continue to investigate. No charges have been laid at this time.
