Man dies in hospital following ATV accident in Fort Providence

Update 17:15 MST: A man has died from injuries he sustained in an ATV accident in Fort Providence over the weekend.

Police say the man was one of four people on the vehicle at the time of the crash Saturday night. He wasn’t wearing a helmet.

The man was medevaced to hospital in Edmonton but RCMP say he succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday.

No charges have been laid at this time, though police suspect alcohol may have been a factor.

RCMP continue to investigate alongside the office of the territory’s chief coroner.
