Man hospitalized in Yellowknife following armed attack

Yellowknife RCMP say a man is in stable condition after being attacked with a weapon early Friday morning.

Police say they responded to a disturbance in the downtown core shortly after midnight, where they found an injured man.

The man was transported to hospital with a serious wound on his back, but RCMP say he’s in stable condition.

As police continue to investigate, they won’t say what type of weapon was used, where exactly the incident occurred or if any arrests have been made.
