City Changes Important Parking Sign near St. Patrick High School

The City of Yellowknife is advising the public of a change that was recently made to the signage on a certain street.

On April 26th, a new sign was installed on the Summit Condos access road on 44th Street. The sign is near the parking area of the Ecole St. Patrick High School. The “NO PARKING” sign that was previously at the site has been removed, and has instead been replaced by a no stopping “Emergency Vehicle Access Route” sign.

The sign change is an attempt to make sure the Summit Condos has consistent access for emergency vehicles. Regular drivers are reminded that parking in a no-stopping zone will result in a fine.

Municipal Enforcement Division Officers will continue their patrols in the area, and will be informing local drivers of the signage change.

Anyone who has additional questions can contact the MED at 867-920-5630.
