Yellowknife R.C.M.P find Jacques Perreault dead off Highway 3

Yellowknife, NWT – Yellowknife R.C.M.P say they have found a deceased male just outside the city.

He has been identified as Jacques Perreault, and was last seen in town last Friday night.

Sergeant Marc Coulombe with the Yellowknife detachment explains.

The initial call came in on Tuesday so we proceeded to do some follow up work in trying to locate the gentleman’s whereabouts. The following day we began a search near a cabin off Highway 3 where he resides.”

Coulombe says a helicopter was used to locate Perrault after a ground search came up empty.

He says it is still too early to suspect any foul play.

The body has been sent to Edmonton for an autopsy.

Police are assisting the Coroner’s Office in the investigation.
