The Hay River Curling club has decided to waive registration fees for all youth and junior members in the After School curling program for the 2023-24 school year.
This decision has been made in response to the challenging year the community has experienced. The Hay River Curling Club recognizes the increased cost pressures families are facing coming out of multiple area wildfire evacuations and recoveries this year.
The Club has experienced great support from the community in the past, and has stated that they are happy to be able to give something back at this time.
Davida Delorey President of the Hay River Curling Club said in a statement that “The Hay River Curling Club recognizes the importance of recreation during impactful times. The Club invites all Hay River, Enterprise, and Katlodeeche area youth to come out and try curling this season on us!”
